High street and online retailer. The high street shops can be a good source of advice if you get the right shop and the right person. They somtimes have some good exclusive deals or body/lens kits that will beat even the box shifter web sites.
JAlbum is free software that will produce a photograph album for your web site. There are many options and pre defined skins for your album. It also has advanced features such as sisplaying EXIF data. Its a good place to start if you are building a website for the first time. The advanced features and customisations will probable require the skills of a computer entusiast.
Photomatix will merge a number of images taken at different exposures to produce a high definition image. I have used the free "Basic" version to merge two images. It did a good job of aligning the two images that were taken hand held. I could save the results in a standard format to import back into photo shop. The resulting image had improved detail and contrast in both the highlights and shadows. The pay version will merge more images, typically taken using the bracketing feature of your camera.
